Greetings! I pray you are having an awesome Friday. This is from a Scripture devotion I did yesterday. I got tired and didn’t post it. Our apartments are being upgraded, so I had to do my part. At any rate, here are my thoughts on the Scripture from 05/21/26. Be encouraged.
While engaged in yesterday’s Scripture devotion, I realized that my hope in God is the foundation of my relationship with Him. The more I develop that relationship, the stronger I am in that relationship because I depend on God. I trust Him. I believe His word, and I can’t imagine where I would be without Him. God continues to reveal Himself as loving and caring.
We are bound to have those days when we question how we feel. God’s word addresses those moments when they arise. Psalm 42:5 -“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” Whether we are chased by our enemies, our past, or our fears, God is our refuge and shield. Psalm 33:20 – “We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield.”
God provides what we need. Psalm 31:3 – “Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me.” God does honor His name and His word. No matter what’s going on, this Scripture is my go-to. Psalm 39:7 – “But now, Lord, what do I look for? My hope is in you.” When we stand on the principle that God is our real hope and that He can turn things around, we can trust and wait patiently. It will not be easy at first. However, the more you practice trusting that God has your best interests at heart, the easier it becomes.
God bless you, and be encouraged.
