Psalm 59:16
Greetings! It’s heating up here in Las Vegas. I have an intentional goal of staying hydrated and cool. I wanted to share my thoughts on Today’s Scripture. Short and sweet, but impactful.
King David had a relationship with God. As you can tell from the Psalm, he poured out his heart to God. Those times when he was in trouble, as well as those times when he was joyful and steady. Psalm 108:1 – “My heart, O God, is steadfast; I will sing and make music with all my soul.” His story encourages me to stay steadfast with the Lord, whether things are good or challenging. God is faithful and keeps His promises. David knew he could count on God no matter what. What I really enjoy about reading God’s word is seeing the heart of the people who cried out to God. They were not perfect. Some served God, and some didn’t. Additional Scripture: 1 Samuel 2:9-10 / Psalm 5:3 / Deuteronomy 4:30.
