Psalm 4:4-5

Greetings and happy Friday! I pray the weekend begins on a good note for you. This weekend hosts the 30th anniversary of the EDC music festival. The parade was yesterday on the Las Vegas Strip. The rest of the festival is today, Saturday, and finishes up on Sunday. Yes, it does impact traffic in that area if you work there or need to go for whatever reason. My prayer is that everyone is respectful and can enjoy themselves with no harm or destruction. EDC means Electric Daisy Carnival.
Tuesday’s post (05/14/26) was on our relationship with God. I encourage you to explore more Scripture that helps you in this effort. One step is to search our hearts and get quiet. We must trust God to bring us clarity because His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts.” Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Psalm 63:6 – “On my bed I remember You; I think of You through the watches of the night.”
Ephesians tells us not to let the sun go down on our anger. (Ephesians 4:26). This is where trusting God is challenging because, in our humanity, we do not want to surrender. We want to handle things ourselves. However, we know that man’s anger does not produce the righteousness of God. (James 1:20). Whatever has you upset, trust God, not your emotions. Proverbs 28:26 -“Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe.” You can acknowledge your emotions and evaluate the root cause. But then, we must trust God’s resolution, not our own. When we get quiet, we can hear from the Holy Spirit and be led by Him.
Jesus provided the means for us to have a right relationship with God through the Holy Spirit. Our anchor is secure when we believe in God and Jesus Christ. John 14:1 – “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.”
God bless you, and be encouraged.
