I pray you are doing well. I was reading a devotional and these three words came up in a paragraph. I thought it was a good phrase for moving forward. Hebrews 12:12-13 – “Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed.” God’s word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Awareness – Becoming self-aware is a critical key to bring change in your life. You have to know where you are to keep going in the right direction. Strengths, weaknesses, temptations, and what’s missing for you is important information to have. Take an inventory of your life. What are your core values? Do you even want to change? One of the first things I looked at is my relationship with my Creator. I knew that I wanted to deepen that relationship. I made a decision at the end of last year to make a focal point of my spiritual growth. For me, spiritual growth is foundational for all the other things I desire to do. I encourage you to take inventory.
After I made that decision and accepted my reality, I took action. My action steps were then broken down into achievable goals. Read more, learn better means of study, time management, and other select points. Cut out what’s a waste. Include what helps me achieve these goals. Full disclosure, this list will be tweaked during the year. Self-awareness allows us to change and make better what we can. My encouragement for this part of the Serenity Prayer. “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”
God bless you, and be encouraged.

Change is difficult, but the rewards are great.
I totally agree!
Great post, Sandra. Cutting things that are wasteful and adjusting our plan during the year as we gain more awareness are excellent advice. It’s very important that we do these things if we want to achieve our goals.
