PSALM 5:11-12

Greetings and happy Tuesday. I had a very enjoyable day. I went to my granddaughter’s graduation ceremony today. She’s moving on up. Time is passing so quickly. I had lunch with my daughter after that. Sometimes, the simple things are so precious. I hope you have enjoyed your day so far.
I absolutely love the Book of Psalms. Why? Because I repeat that King David, among others, gives us insight into having a very intimate relationship with God. They didn’t just write about the challenges or their enemies. They magnified having the joy of God as well. What caught my attention this morning was the part of the verse saying that He surrounds the righteous with His favor as with a shield.
Psalm 90:14 – “Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.” God’s love for us starts when we rise and continues until we lie down. He has mercy on those who love His name-Psalm 119:132. God told Abraham that He was his very great reward. Genesis 15:1 – “After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: ‘Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.”
God bless you, and be encouraged. There is hope in God.

Amen, and how wonderful that you were able to spend that time with your daughter and granddaughter.
Thank you, Ed. It was enjoyable. NH has been renovating our building, so things have been busy. Breaks are important.
You’re welcome, Sandra. Yes, breaks are definitely important. We have to slow down sometimes and enjoy the important things in life.
