Your Roadmap

Yes, we are still navigating through the chaos.

The post for 05/31/23 presented a challenge to choose one thing you would like to change and take steps toward that change for a week. Then revisit it. I made the point in that post that change takes time.

Today, I  would like to suggest to you that how you view the world, the lens from which you see things has a major impact on your change journey. The paradigm from which you have positioned yourself is what influences your thoughts, your thoughts then influence your behavior, and your behavior becomes habit.

A paradigm is like a map to get you where you want to go. You cannot get to California using a map of Massachusetts. What am I saying? I am saying you may have to change your map, how you view things, to get where you want to go. You need to change your pattern of thinking.

In choosing that one thing you would like to change, how do you view it? Is it based on truth and principle or just how you view it? Do you know how or why you came to accept this behavior as okay for you? Would you be willing to change your view of something in order to change you and/or your circumstances for the better? Definitely questions to ponder.

Be blessed on your change journey.

Thoughts for Today_Saturday, 04.22.17

cropped-20160801_201250.jpegThere is such a sweetness in my spirit today for God’s faithfulness. I have become employed full-time and as I adjust to the time requirements for this, I have to adjust my writing time. I will be posting three times a week. My first priority is to God, of course. Then, attention to the job. However, my call to write and be an encouragement to others is still also a priority. As He continues to move in my life, I adjust accordingly. That said, I would like to say that God keeps His promises. Sometimes we don’t know the difference between “no” and “wait” because waiting does look like a “no” on the surface. However, when we trust Him, we see things play out. Waiting is hard because of this. Not sure, keep trusting. Can’t see, keep trusting. When He then begins to show His moves, you see things happen.

There are other changes coming. There is something to be said for His grace. His grace is sufficient. Always has been, but when you come to know that you know that, it is such a sweet place to be. I have been changed through all the things that I have gone experienced. Strength in Him is the anchor to my soul. I have found a church home and am excited about that as well. I must say that the time I did not have that church home, I was still focused on God. We must have that solid personal relationship with Him so that when He shows us our direction, we obey. Obedience is necessary if we want all that God has for us. Fulfilling His purpose and call for our lives is the goal. Eternity with Him is the destination.

Chaos

Sometimes our lives seem to be in a place of straight chaos. The definition being utter confusion. It is “the unpredictable and apparently random behavior.” The definition goes on but I believe this certainly brings the point home. Some of the synonyms include unorganized, haphazard, irregular as well as all over the place.

My chaos seems to be in finding a stable living situation. I have literally lived all over the place here in Las Vegas. Over the span of my life, I have lived on the east coast, the west coast and in the midwest. All that said, I do believe that God will use the chaos of our lives for His purpose and glory. I do not like chaos, especially in my home. I am really good at administrative things because I like being organized. I certainly do not like looking for things in various places. Kind of why the last year has been so frustrating for me. My things have been all over the place. I own whatever part I played in this chaotic state but also understand that some of it was out of my control.
