GLORIOUS-IMPACT

As someone who loves the Lord, I encourage others from a biblical perspective for spiritual transformation and freedom.

Terrific Thursday_09/17/26

Greetings. I had a great day today. I pray yours was awesome as well. I spent a few hours at the Senior Wellness Fair held at the YMCA on Meadows. I will post tomorrow covering the activity. The event was sponsored by Archwell Health this year. Now, the encouragement from Scripture comes from Hebrews.

Today’s Scripture: Hebrews 11:5-8:
“By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith. By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.” The NIV.

I want to highlight verse 6: And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Hebrews Chapter 11 has been deemed the “faith” chapter. It offers many examples of walking by faith, so that we have examples of what that looks like. For me, I see that those who went before us on this journey of faith had something wonderful. They trusted God. They believed that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. Enoch did not experience death. Noah built the ark in “holy fear,” as Scripture says. And Abraham moved to an unknown place because God told him to. He trusted God’s promise to him. What I see is that these men didn’t have all the answers to the questions they had. They trusted that God would take care of them.

Hebrews 3:6: “But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.” Are you holding firmly to your confidence and the hope in which we glory? Because, without faith it is impossible to please God.

Additional Scriptures: Hebrews 4:16; James 4:8; Hebrews 7:18-19; Hebrews 7:25. God bless you, and be encouraged.
