Greetings! I pray you are doing well today. I am loving the weather now. It is cooling off nicely. Of course, the hot days creep in, but the weather has been great. I had my regular coffee gathering today with other residents in the building. I spoke about taking the initiative when you want things to change. It takes a minute, but your life becomes richer when you share it with others. You don’t have to have a goal of twenty friends a month. Increasing your circle by one or two others works just fine.

Today’s Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:28-31:
“God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”

Speaking of boasting in the Lord, I had a great day of worship yesterday. Community is great. I decided a while back to cut back on social media on Sundays. I did that yesterday. I was doing it here and there. However, it would slowly increase. Setting the details of what I want to accomplish and committing to that is a part of the change process. It’s important to stick to the boundaries you set for yourself. I relaxed and finished a book yesterday. I did start a new one today. “Searching for Truth: The Christian’s Guidebook for Escaping Deceptions within the Church” by Lazarus Mast. This is the first time I have read anything by this author. Have you read anything by him? He has an interesting name. I will share my experience with you when I finish reading. I have to make the time to include the things I value. Full disclosure: my reading list has been neglected.

Being a part of learning organizations can get real busy. At any rate, I prioritized the meetings that are an integral part of what I am currently working on. I believe that priorities can shift when you commit to what you want to accomplish. My posts here will be three times per week. Detail what you want to accomplish and enjoy doing it.

God bless you, and be encouraged.
