Greetings. I pray you are doing well. Today is marvelous. “Why?” you ask. God graced me with another day. I had coffee with my resident cohorts. That’s always fun. I enjoy the laughter and company. I did have a dental appointment, but I had to reschedule. Good thing, too, because the temperature today has been extreme. The temperature now is 103°. However, yesterday’s temperature was even hotter, 109°. I did my Today’s Scripture video and other computer work. It’s been a smooth day, even with changes.
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Psalm 73:28
TS: Psalm 73:28 – “But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds.”

I’m sharing an image I took from the 5th floor of our building. I like the layers in the photo, from the trees to the mountains. Talk about God’s wonderful deeds for us to enjoy.
God is near and dear to my heart. Here are some other Scriptures that speak to that.
Hebrews 10:22 – “let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.”
James 4:8 – “Come near to God, and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” Psalm 9:9 – “The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.”
When we are honest with ourselves, we have to admit that if not for the grace and mercy of God, where would we be? Psalm 40:5 – Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with You; were I to speak and tell of Your deeds, they would be too many to declare.” Yes, there are Additional Scriptures: Psalm 26:6-7; Zephaniah 3:2.
God bless you, and be encouraged.
