I Choose Wisdom This Season-07/20/26

Greetings! I pray you have had an awesome Monday. I give thanks to God today for His favor and blessings. Misplaced my keys yesterday, and when I got home, I couldn’t get into my apartment. My daughter had a key to my apartment. I was able to get in. It took a minute; I got in early enough to make dinner and lie down. This morning, when I got up, I had a knock on the door. My neighbor said I came bearing gifts. He had my keys. It may not seem like much, but it didn’t have to turn out so well.

As I age, I need someone who can get to me in case something happens. I am glad my daughter made a copy of my key earlier this year. Wisdom is more important to me than pride at this time. Speaking of wisdom…

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Proverbs 3:13-18 – “
“Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed.”

Many Golden Oldies may not want to lose their independence, but we have to be wise as we age. We must get the help we need. Ask for help when necessary. Doing my Master’s program, I researched the reasons for some dying from loneliness. Coming together in community as we age is critical. Reach out to others. Sometimes you may not need help, but others may. God bless you, and be encouraged.
