Greetings! I pray your Monday has been wonderful. Mine has been eventful. Had a visit with my primary care clinic for labs and to remove the heart monitor I had because of a change in medication. I will get the results in about a week. I have been intentional about staying hydrated, so when they drew blood, it went well. This was always a challenge for me. I then went to Monday coffee with some of the other residents. Home reorganization. And, of course, a nap.
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: 1 TIMOTHY 6:9-10

Greed for money is a cause of severe stress and destruction. Proverbs 15:27 – “The greedy bring ruin to their households, but the one who hates bribes will live.” Additional Scripture: Proverbs 28:20; 1 Timothy 3:1-7; 1 Timothy 6:20-21; James 5:19-20; Joshua 7:20-21. Joshua Chapter 7 describes the greed of Achan. And the disastrous results, not only for himself but for others. He destroyed his family because of the sin of greed.
We all know that money is not evil. The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. In our current culture, the motivation is to get more and more and more. There is never enough. I used to have a negative view of having a lot of money. This was influenced by what I have seen over the years. As I have grown closer to the Lord, I understand it’s about your heart posture. If you are seeking control, manipulation, and power over others, this is a disastrous place to be.
However, I know funds are needed to take care of business. God knows what you need, and He will provide. You can’t love money more than you love Him. His standard is for our eternal good. God bless you, and be encouraged.

Well said, Sandra. Some people are just obsessed with money; the more the better, it seems. I’ll be praying that your lab results come back clear.
Thanks, Ed. My labs came back good. I have two more to go. Mammogram is on Monday and follow-up with new primary care on Wednesday.
You’re so welcome. That’s good news, and I’m praying that everything else goes well.
