Greetings! I hope your Tuesday has been terrific. Mine has. Our Bible Study group started a new study on angels as described in God’s word. It should be very interesting.
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: 2 CORINTHIANS 7:1
This Scripture speaks to having enough reverence for God to strive for holiness. I accept that we cannot reach this without the Holy Spirit.
As someone who advocates for setting goals, this is a very important one for me. Since my relationship with the Lord is my top priority, I take seriously what should be my focus.
1 Peter 1:15-16 – “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: ‘Be holy, because I am holy.” 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 – “Therefore, ‘Come out from them and be separate,’ says the Lord. ‘Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.’ And, ‘I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters,’ says the Lord Almighty.”
When I consider these two Scriptures, it is compelling for me to evaluate the choices I make. As a believer, everything is not okay. I have to consider the influential environment when I make a choice. This post is short, yet pertinent. We move toward our goals realistically when we evaluate according to our value system.
