Greetings! I hope your Monday has been very enjoyable so far. My day has been great. I had my annual doctor’s visit today. It was a good visit. I had my labs done this past Thursday, and today was discussion time. I really do appreciate my doctor because she listens to me. And yet, she does have a persuasive way about her when she knows I need to do something I’m not excited about. I got some extra water bottles from their office today. Summer is here, and the heat is not discriminatory. Aging and the heat don’t always agree.

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: PROVERBS 18:10
Of the Scriptures I referenced, I wanted to add this one to my comment today. Proverbs 14:26 – “In times of trouble, may the Lord answer your cry. May the name of the God of Jacob keep you safe from all harm.” We will have trouble in this life. My reaction to trouble is now that God will remove it or bring me through it. Mostly, He brings me through it. It is here that I have changed and grown. Additional Scripture: Psalm 61:3; Psalm 20:1; 2 Samuel 22:3; 2 Samuel 22:33.
There is so much I am grateful for. I give thanks for making it through all the trouble I’ve had. God has brought me through it all. From the personal challenges to the medical challenges, and then to the parenting challenges, God is my refuge. I do know that most times the chaos was in my head.
What if? That relenting pressure. I had to change my mindset if things were really going to change for me. Renewing my mind had to become a reality, a daily practice, and the change I needed. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 – “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” I had to learn to use the tools in my arsenal. God’s word is the one tool that covers all the bases. It is my most valued and trusted tool, no matter what else I use. Trusting God and His timing are the bricks of that fortified tower.
I had to learn to focus on applying the principles. The objective was always in mind, but change does not occur overnight. Changing thoughts daily changes behavior. Life is a daily thing. God bless you, and be encouraged.
