Greetings! I pray your Friday has been enjoyable. Mine has been nice. I have enjoyed a leisurely pace. I always have something to do, but a leisurely day helps us enjoy the moments. I appreciate those too.
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: JEREMIAH 32:17
Multiple Scriptures magnify the Lord as Creator of the heavens and the earth. This reminds us to praise and glorify God, not the created thing. Psalm 102:25 – “In the beginning You laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands.” Jeremiah 51:15 – “He made the earth by His power; He founded the world by His wisdom and stretched out the heavens by His understanding.” Matthew 19:26 – “Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Additional Scriptures: Jeremiah 10:16.
What helps me navigate the chaos is remembering that God is in control. He created the heavens and the earth. As you can see, several Scriptures remind us that He is the Creator. This posture also reminds me that nothing I experience is beyond God’s reach, power, or understanding for my life. We can get caught up in what we are doing and accomplishing in our lives. We forget that God is sovereign. He does bless us by allowing us to accomplish wonderful things in our lives. However, the created thing is not the end-all. He is the alpha and omega; the beginning and the end.
Jesus said, “With God all things are possible.” For me, I couldn’t navigate this life without my faith in God. His word, will, and way move me to do what I never thought possible. I do know that my home is not here on earth; it is in heaven. I serve God now because I love Him. When I first came to Christ, it was because I didn’t want to go to hell. I am keeping this real with you, full disclosure. Accepting His love for me is what increased my love for Him. God’s word and my reflection on where God has brought me from keep me standing strong. God keeps His promises. I became familiar with His promises by reading His word.
