Greetings! I pray your Wednesday is off to a good start. Today is the day for me to do some housework and stay inside. I have to get labs done tomorrow. And, since the heat makes you tired, I want to rest after my labs are done. The temperatures have been in the triple digits this week. The high so far this week, and it’s midweek, is 107°.
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: PSALM 55:22

Matthew 6:25-27
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you, by worrying, add a single hour to your life?”
There is more. Continue reading in your personal time, verses twenty-eight to thirty-four. God’s word clarifies the futility of holding on to things we cannot change.
He understands that we have matters that are near and dear to our hearts. However, it was not his intention to let these matters tear us up inside. Some may say they don’t worry. But what’s the replacement? Mindset has to be for renewing your mind (Romans 12:2) to God’s word and prayer. Matthew 6 gives us a biblical mindset for our thoughts.
I hope that you are encouraged as you make positive changes in your thought life first. When we change our thinking, we change our behavior. Behavior then becomes our habits. In order for things to become different, we have to do things differently. God bless you.
