Call Him Up

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: PSALM 50:15

Greetings! My day started early today. I received a giveaway registration for the Called to Care conference hosted by Hope for the Heart. I am excited to be learning new things and reinforcing effective methods to help others. At any rate, Today’s Scripture contributes to my belief that we have to be intentional about our choices. David was. His relationship with King Saul was a ten on the stress level. However, he kept His focus on God as His deliverer and refused to let evil take that away.

A silhouetted night sky with a bright light resembling the moon, overlaid with the text: "Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me." Psalm 50:15 NIV.

David’s life is a wonderful example of what we go through with family, friends, and others. It is a prime example of the challenges of relationships, even when we have good intentions. However, in the midst of all that, God is always available.

God has said many times in His word that He would answer when we call upon Him. Seek His face. Psalm 86:7 – “When I am in distress, I call to you, because you answer me.” His timing is still the gauge. Psalm 142:2 – “I pour out before Him my complaint; before Him I tell my trouble.” When we tell God our troubles, He provides an answer. Yes, no, or wait. Jeremiah 33:3 – “‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” God reminds us on many occasions that He is there for us. Be encouraged.
