His Way, Not Mine

Greetings! I pray you are having a great Thursday!

God says His ways are higher than ours, as well as His thoughts are higher than ours. This is one of the Scriptures that helps me to surrender daily. Because God is the all-knowing God, He knows what I don’t know, what I can’t know. I reference Jeremiah 33:3 – “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” The more I stay in God’s word, the more He reveals Himself.

A quote from Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV displayed against a cloudy background with emphasis on the contrast between divine and human understanding.

Philippians tells us what to set our minds on. Philippians 4:8 – “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”

The meat in this is that without God’s word, how can we truly focus on these virtuous things? Isaiah 53:6 says we have all turned to our own way. Cultivation of the things of God requires application and consistency. We need to have the mind of Christ. The mind of Christ is God’s will and God’s way. Luke 22:42 – “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”

Are you ready to let God have His way? Are you ready to surrender to God’s will for your life? Each of us has free will. My questions are for you to ponder for your life. God does have the answers. God bless you, and be encouraged.
