Greetings and happy Saturday. I pray your day is going well. This has been a very busy day for me. I have had several parenting conversations today. The discussions centered around holding kids accountable for their behavior. Of course, it is based on them being old enough to understand. When we teach children there are consequences for their actions; they can make choices of real value instead of making choices with the motive of getting what they want. Who else is impacted by your choice?
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: 2 TIMOTHY 3:12-13
This Scripture is a reminder that we must count the cost of our choice. Some will come against you for your choice. John 15:20 – “Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you also. If they obey My teaching, they will obey yours also. Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed My teaching, they will obey yours also.” Luke 14:28 – “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?”
Counting the cost means understanding what is required. Staying in God’s word is imperative. When we are confronted with opposition to our choice to serve Christ, we need strength. We need to know what we stand for and why. God bless you, and be encouraged.
