Shaking Things Up

A quote from the Bible, Luke 5:31-32, displayed against a backdrop of a cloudy sky at dusk.

Greetings! It is hot here in Las Vegas. It’s 103° at 6:41 pm. There was a small earthquake (3.8) here on the east side of Las Vegas. I checked the reports. Some reports say 4.1. In either case, I did not feel anything. My sister called me and asked if I felt it. I did not, and we live in the same building. I missed it. I pray no one got hurt. Even though it seemed minor, I do hope mishaps transpired because of it.

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: LUKE 15:31-32

Today, I am very grateful that the Lord led me from darkness to light. Even when I didn’t know how very sick I was (the darkness), He still loved me. John 12:46 – “I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.” I understand that some may not consider being in darkness a sickness. However, the darkness begins to permeate the soul. There are so many in pain, anger, and despair. That darkness brings about ungodly chaos.

Colossians 1:13-14 – “For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” Jesus is the only answer to overcome the darkness.
