Greetings! My hope today is that your weekend is going wonderfully well. Today’s Scripture is such an encouragement to me, and I hope it will be to you as well.
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: ISAIAH 40:29
Isaiah is so rich with words that describe the heart of God. In reading God’s word daily, I am so blessed when I have read something several times before, and new refreshment provides a needed reminder. That reminder renews our hope and gives us the strength to keep moving forward. Life is so chaotic these days, and it is very stressful at times. God reminds us that even when we are extremely tired, He hasn’t forgotten us.
When these times came for me, I had a tendency to forget He’s always with me. What about you? When you’re going in so many different directions to keep up, do you forget that God is there? The steps of the righteous are ordered by the Lord. Psalm 37:23-24 – “The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in Him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand.” Psalm 68:35 – “You, God, are awesome in Your sanctuary; the God of Israel gives power and strength to His people.”
My encouragement today is when weariness takes hold, take hold of God’s word. Remember that He has already strengthened us through Christ Jesus and given us His Holy Spirit. He surely wouldn’t drop us off the cliff now. On this journey of mine, I have learned to make the right steps a priority. Life is going to throw those curveballs. (I love my baseball analogies.) It takes renewing your mind to God’s word. He never intended anyone to try to do everything all by themselves. Slow down and first things first. God bless you, and be encouraged.
