Greetings! It’s been an awesome Friday. How about yours?
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: PSALM 5:33
This Scripture gives me hope in God because it speaks of expectancy from God. When reading my devotional Scripture today, this Scripture came immediately to mind. Hebrews 11:6 – And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
The ’and’ is significant because it is a conjunction. That means the first part of the Scripture works together with the second part. He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. When you have faith, it is necessary to believe that God rewards that faith. If you don’t believe that, what is your faith based on? Today’s Scripture talks about waiting expectantly. This means, for me, that God keeps His promises. This may be a caveat for some, since that does not mean instantaneous. While we wait, we trust God’s timing. I believe that in the waiting, we find out if we do trust God. Do we trust His timing? Do we trust His delivery?
There are times God delivers, but not in the way we expected. What I love about God is this. Even when we pray for something, He answers. Yes, no, or wait. God will always answer. The waiting is what stretches our growth in this relationship with Him. I say that because of Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Is it not an awesome revelation that God wants what is best for us?
God bless you, and be encouraged.
