Ecclesiastes 3:1

There is a time for everything. Reflecting on my life,  I see the reality of this truth. Except when I was younger, I wished away every season of difficulty and challenges. I couldn’t wait to be sixteen, twenty-one, thirty, etc. I look back now and see that had I embraced each season of my life, times could have been easier or gone more smoothly. Lol…hindsight is twenty-twenty.

Now I have a resolve and acceptance regarding my past. I do appreciate what I learned. Didn’t say I loved every minute, but I am glad that I learned from those seasons. Ecclesiastes 8:6 – “For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter, though a person may be weighed down by misery.” When pondering this Scripture, I will say motherhood was challenging. I was a single mother most of the time I raised my kids. I wasn’t alone, but single. God, through Christ, my Jehovah Jireh, made provision for me by various means. 

Whatever you are going through, there is a time for everything, even difficulties. God is with you every step of the way. He didn’t promise to remove every difficulty. He did promise to be with you through every difficulty. Additional Scripture: Ecclesiastes 3:11 / Ecclesiastes 3:17 / Ecclesiastes 8:6.

My trust in God has been built over time through the challenging seasons. As a single mother, I was also a praying mother. I had to be. No real success could come without looking to the hills where my help comes from. Psalm 121:1-2 – “I lift my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
