Thoughts on Today’s Scripture: The Work of Righteousness_05/09/26

Isaiah 32:17

A quote from Isaiah 32:17 NKJV about righteousness and peace, set against a dramatic sky with clouds.

Greetings! God bless you. I pray that your Saturday is going well. I will share my thoughts on this Scripture. I hope that you enjoy reading it and are encouraged by the awesome word of God.

This Scripture provides comfort to my soul because I do have peace. The peace of Christ. John 16:33 – “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” Peace is evident when you believe His words and trust Him. I stay in God’s word because it keeps anxiety at bay. This anchor holds me steady and roots me. The world’s chaos will keep you unstable.

The more I dig into Scripture, the better I understand the fruit of the Spirit. Walking with God is very personal, yet the fruit is very visible. A tree has deep roots. Yet until you see the branches, you don’t know the fruit it bears. God’s word says that we would be like a tree planted by the living waters. Jeremiah 17:7-8 – “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.”

Staying rooted in God’s word gives me a picture of what I should like. When I cannot see what should be evident, how can anyone else see Christ in me, the hope of glory
