The Cross of Christ

Greetings. I pray you have a blessed Resurrection Sunday! Enjoy your Sunday and give thanks to God for His grace and mercy. Jesus got a hold of me many moons ago. Walking this journey of faith is a work in progress. I am eternally grateful. 1 Timothy 6:12 – “Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” I have not perfected this. I press toward the mark of the high calling. I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

Psalm 73:25 – “Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you.” Jeremiah 9:23-24 – “This is what the Lord says: ‘Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,’ declares the Lord.”

I am focused on keeping my eyes on Christ Jesus. Eternity is with Him and in Him. I live on the earth but I am a foreigner. My home is with Jesus. As we  consider this Resurrection Sunday, let us think about where we want to spend eternity. Our souls are immortal. If you really believe that your soul will not die, where do you want to spend eternity? Do you want to spend eternity with or without God? The challenges we experience here on earth don’t compare to the suffering and torture Jesus experienced to give us this choice. He gave up His life for each one of us. Each individual has the free will to choose. Whom do you choose?

God bless you. Be encouraged.
