Today’s Scripture: 2 Samuel 22:31-33 | 03/31/26

Greetings! I pray you have had an excellent day, a terrific Tuesday! Today’s Scripture is about my security in God. He is my Rock, my strength, and He keeps my way secure. Where is your security? Do you place your security in Him, yourself, or others?

God keeps His promises. I hold on to that because God has proven Himself. Psalm 119:140 -“And the words of the Lord are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times.” As I read God’s word, I see that He has fulfilled the word spoken to His people. Genesis 15:1 – “After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.” Even though Abraham died, God kept His word to Abraham with many descendants as promised, and took them into the promised land.

God has given us His word that we may not only see His character, but that we may know the basis on which we believe. We do believe by faith, of course. But God did not leave us completely blind. He has shared with us His mercy, grace, and love toward us. Holding on to God’s word is critical because it is flawless. Hebrews 4:12 – “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” In my quest to become more self-aware, it became more clear when I applied God’s word to my life. Additional Scripture: Proverbs 30:5-6.

Because God is faithful to His word, I am compelled to build my trust in Him. Circumstances may test that. But, by His Holy Spirit, I have come to believe that God wants what is best for me. I trust that. He has given us the written journeys of those who went before us. While everyone’s journey will not be exactly the same, it should encourage us to run our race. Hebrews 12:1-2 – “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

I take my refuge in God. He is my strength. I share my journey because I desire to encourage others. I want to share that God is present on my journey. God did not say that this life would be without challenges, but He did say He would not leave us. God helps us through Jesus Christ by His Holy Spirit. Want to get to know who God really is? Read God’s word every day.

God bless you and be encouraged.
