Happy Friday to you! I pray you are doing very well. Are you preparing for the weekend? Enjoy your family and friends.

Believers have a standard. Guidelines are clear. When you purpose in your heart that standard, it helps navigate the responses you take. It may not be easy to do that in every situation. However, when you walk by that standard, you are encouraged. Your value system is secure. What do you value? What are your standards based on? Many reject biblical standards. Looking beyond ourselves is not the easiest or most comfortable thing to do. Yet, Christ did it when He died on the cross. None of us is Christ. Yet, He delivered a standard He knew we could keep with His help and the Holy Spirit. Isaiah 28:16 – “So this is what the Sovereign Lord says: ’See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic.”

Galatians 4:9 – “But now that you know God—or rather are known by God—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again?” This Scipture speaks to our heart posture. Considering your values and trusting God, shouldn’t we be able to move forward? John 10:14 – “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me—“ Knowing what you value is critical. Do you value your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ? I have taken stock of my value system. I cannot, in full disclosure, claim perfection. However, I have greater self-awareness.

Navigating this journey, this Scripture speaks my heart for you. 1 Corinthians 1:2-3 – “To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be his holy people, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ—their Lord and ours:Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Be encouraged. God bless you.
