GLORIOUS IMPACT: Biblical encouragement & edification

Encouragement, edification, and empowerment from a biblical perspective for true transformation.

Today’s Scripture_1 Corinthians 6:19-20 | 03/24/26

A quote from the Bible, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, discussing the body as a temple of the Holy Spirit, with a natural background that includes trees and ground elements.

Good morning and God bless you. I pray you are doing well. Hoping to encourage you this morning, know that everything is in God’s control. However chaotic things may look right now, He is still sovereign. You may or may not agree that sometimes things have to be shaken up a bit to be put right again. Where we are right now in our current culture is definitely uncomfortable. I don’t like being uncomfortable, do you?

We belong to Christ. Our bodies do, too. There is a tendency for us to believe that the ultimate say so about our bodies belongs to us. It does not. It belongs to God. We were bought with a price. The whole package belongs to God; spirit, mind, body, soul, and strength.  It’s not easy to surrender all to God. The belief that thinking about God and then doing what we want with our bodies is cohesive is delusional. What do you think?

Jesus gave up His spirit, soul, and body for us. His time on the earth was in human form. How could he know the physical pain we experience in the body had he not? Jesus understood the pain Mary and Martha had when Lazarus died. Sorrow and loss was heartfelt. However, Jesus did raise Lazarus’ body from the dead.

I have experienced medical challenges in my body over some years. I have come close to dying a couple of times. The surgeries put me in a very vulnerable position. I had no choice but to give each and every situation to God.  My body belongs to Him. I understand going through medical challenges can be daunting, but give it to God through Jesus Christ. Jesus is Jehovah-Rapha, our healer, the ultimate healer.

For me, the reality of walking this journey of faith is that all of me belongs to God. No, I have not perfected anything. I just keep moving forward and giving it to God. Philippians 3:14 – “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

God bless you and be encouraged.
