Hello. Happy Thursday. I pray that you make it a great day. My encouragement today is about change. Change transpires one day at a time. It’s about building blocks—foundations of consistency and perseverance. Consistency is to keep going. Perseverance means to keep going even when it is difficult.
When I focus on change and personal growth, it is encouraging because consistency allows me to enjoy the small measures of achievement. My commitment to a goal broken down allows me to appreciate accomplishing that goal step by step.
Writers are readers. I have a personal goal of getting better at my writing. I committed to reading more this year as I work to improve my writing. One thing I have done in this effort is to read more fellow writers’ blogs more often. I have incorporated this in my daily routine. Sometimes it’s challenging to keep up, but consistency is important even when I can only read three or four blogs. What I have enjoyed about this is learning more about my writer friends. I learn new things. I discover new things about myself that I enjoy but didn’t know. My creativity is inspired.
I include more about my journey so those who read my blog can get to know me better. I appreciate your interest. I discovered the more I write, the more I want to write. I do read novels, but I like short stories because they tend to provoke thought for me.
I love God and encouraging others on this walk with Him. As I encourage others, I find myself encouraged by His grace and mercy. Growing in grace is important to me. I find that when God and His word are a priority, change is compelling yet easier when you accept the revelation about yourself He gives.
This post is me sharing a part of my change process and how I am enjoying it. Speaking of enjoying the process. My granddaughter will be eight in January. I get to see her growth and development. Sometimes when I write, she comes alongside and begins to read my writing. Seems like only yesterday when I was praying for her and her mother in the delivery room.
Be blessed and encouraged!
