What Are You Going Through?

That God cannot handle. “Jesus looked at them, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’” Matthew 19:26 NIV

No matter what you are experiencing, God is not hindered by your circumstances. Trust and wait on God. However, I deduce that it isn’t that we think God is unable; it is that we don’t want to wait for anything. It is not your timing, it is His. Are you willing to trust God in waiting for resolutions? Are you willing to trust that God wants what is best for you? Are you willing to accept that God’s wisdom and understanding of you goes far deeper than yours ever could? Are you willing to surrender?

When I think about the search for happiness and fulfillment that eludes many, the root of that is we want what we want right now. The disappointment and irritation that results cause many to believe they cannot have happiness and fulfillment. Patience is a virtue, says the Scriptures. However, when we think of patience, it is many times based on relationships with others. Patience develops character for you. “But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” James 1:4 NKJV

Can impatience be attributed to much of the frustration that holds many hostage? I want what I want right now. We don’t question whether we need it right now. What are the consequences of the whims of want that we experience? We must take control of our emotions. Feeling drives most actions. How you feel in the moment can be destructive when your emotions have extreme control over you. Your emotions influence your thoughts. Your thoughts influence your behavior.

Rely on the benefit of developing patience for what we “think” we want, which is important. Especially since that can and sometimes will change. Have we developed this relationship with God that He should be a genie to drop what we want in our laps when we make a wish?

The focus should be on developing your walk with the Lord. The current climate of chaos cannot provide the peace you need. Having everything you think you want right now does not provide the anchor you seek. What does it take to make you happy? “Godliness with contentment is great gain.” 1 Timothy 6:6 NKJV

Be blessed and encouraged.
