I pray you have had a wonderful Sunday! I have enjoyed worship, God’s word, and music today. Today’s post is about gratitude. I went to a friend’s barbecue yesterday to celebrate her family. We’ve known each other for years, before the grandkids. I found it amazing at how fast time flies and sometimes we don’t see it until we see the kids; from infancy to toddler to young child to preteen. Our grandkids are very close in age, similar to our adult children. Some of the birthdays fall close or on the same day. From grief and loss to celebrations, we will forever be a part of each other’s life.
My soapbox is about enjoying those you love now. You may look up one day, and they are grown and/or gone. However, that’s not the point I want to make. When you see them progress, you see little people become big people, and you can see the fruit of investing in the lives of others. You are not solely responsible because others in their environment influence them as well. It’s important to make sure your influence matters. Teach them about God. Our Creator gave them life. God invested in our children. Let’s do the same. We can give them a sure foundation for good success based on God’s word.
Be blessed.
