Happy Friday! Today has been a really good day. Gratitude has been on my heart as I am thankful that I can give thanks. Yesterday I attended the graduation of my grandson from pre-K. It was a blessing not only to see him, but so many youngsters who are just getting started on this journey called life.

I encourage you to pray for your grandkids if you have any. However, that doesn’t mean aunts and uncles are not called to pray for their nieces and nephews as well. My daughter told my grandson that the certificate he got was both of theirs. She worked just as hard as he did. Early mornings when he did want to go. Homework nights. Playing instead of homework. Running late. So many factors that are not considered in the bigger picture. Brought back so many memories of my own motherhood. I just praise God we all got through.

There have been moments when seeing her navigate motherhood takes me back to those days when I was a young mother. Time flies and they grow up so fast. I give thanks because I see some lessons she learned, but I see new things that she brings to light. When we are blessed to see our children grow into the awesome (not perfect, just awesome) adults we were hoping for, it is a blessing I am grateful for.
