You have to be willing to adjust your perspective to facilitate the change desired.
I’ve been writing about change and the skills, tools, and steps to facilitate it, but I haven’t written about mindset in depth recently. Mindset matters. It is essential to be flexible and willing to change perspectives if needed.
When change is needed, something isn’t working, or something different and more effective is required, flexibility is necessary to facilitate that change. How you look at things may be the reason becoming unstuck seems impossible. A fundamental element of change is flexibility. If a person is insistent on doing things their way, remaining stuck has a high probability.
The anchor of God’s word helps me with my perspective. I can stay flexible when God shows me a better way of doing something. Things exist that are tried and true. When you consider flexibility, it is about helping your client move forward. Sometimes, we have to move our perspective out of the way to see another person’s talents, gifts, strengths, and weaknesses. In order to provide this clarity for your client, you have to understand what that looks like.
I mentioned God’s word as always because it is the truth. There is so much information available it can be daunting to always find what fits your client. When you have the truth, you can provide hope and change for your client. Be flexible and willing to adjust your perspective to seek the best for your client.
Be blessed.
