Pray you are having a wonderful Saturday. The wind has calmed down here in Vegas. It is a beautiful day. Being retired now, I am glad I chose Vegas almost 15 years ago. I love the East Coast but the cold was hard on my body.
I have been working on functioning effectively. In reviewing how I work, I minimized the folders and the binders. I was able to separate things for delivery to Savers. Extra clothes, DVDs, and shoes are now set aside. The three-inch heels are never going to be used again. God has blessed me to walk again after the stroke and the surgery. I am realistic though. Some things are gone forever. Part of the aging process for sure.
I selected the picture above as a reminder to be hopeful and patient in the change process. I have no idea when I will be able to downsize in location. However, preparing now is helping me examine my life realistically. The realization that the number of things doesn’t make me happy. The right things make me happy. I am also a person that can make the best of what I have. However, I need the right tools for making adjustments. That’s important to me.
When I believe I have examined everything, another level of evaluation pops up. There are plenty of layers to who we are. Full disclosure though, there are things I wouldn’t have thought of if not for the journey of change. I will say this. Once you have acquired knowledge for change, it doesn’t go away. Wisdom is present when you apply the knowledge in life application.
Be blessed.
