More Organizational Thoughts

Happy Sunday. I hope you have had a spectacular Sunday with family and friends. Enjoy the rest of your day and rest up for the week. Give thanks for your blessings.

This organization journey has me re-examining what I thought I knew about being organized. I have better ideas of what I need and what I will use things for. I have plans to downsize even more. The one thing I have considered is replacing a lot of the heavier furniture with more flexible dressers and storage containers. The decorative Sterilite three-drawer and four-drawer containers are at the top of the list.

One thought that resonates with me is “What does it really take to make you happy?” My peaceful place and serene environment is changing and evolving. Surrounding my environment with pictures like these will help increase calm and serenity.

I have decided I want to decorate with a pop of color here and there to illuminate my living space. I will acquire one three-drawer credenza for my printer and office supplies; replacing a less functional furniture piece.

Quick question. Do you organize your books by author or by topic? This level of organizing is spring project. I have several by certain authors and then as I life coach, I have sever by topic. I also have a lot of food books, study books, etc. I believe I have just answered my own question.

I am enjoying my space more. Knowing that I have starting cleaning out the clutter adds to feeling good about the small steps. I will need to work on the budget next to add some different pieces. I worked on the storage area and there are some things I will throw away.

Lastly, I was thinking about the patio. There isn’t a great amount of space but I can spruce it up. I think that will be last so I can be ready for the summer evenings. That’s it for now.

Be blessed.
