I hope you have had a blessed Sunday! Let us give thanks today and submit all prayers to God.
I want to say how important community and connection are. I had a great Zoom meeting today. Discussion centered around current events. And there have been plenty of those. The discussion allowed everyone to voice their concerns. Getting different perspectives and what other concerns are out there helped a great deal.
I believe that when so much is going on and at such a fast pace, it helps to have someone to talk to. I am an advocate of community and connection. You do not have to journey alone. There are several concerns in the air, particularly for the aging community.
Much is at stake for us all. I encourage you to have several friends to talk with about what’s going on. Sometimes, we have to get out of our heads. Hearing that you are not alone in your concerns and being able to voice those concerns can bring a sense of calm. This may be a time to take the initiative and make new friends.
I believe that God is the first we should voice our concerns with. God has created us as social beings, so enjoy the friendships you have. This may be an opportunity to strengthen relationships that have fallen by the way side.
My heart and prayers continue to go out to the residents of Los Angeles. My prayers go out to the illegal immigrants who have invested so much in the U.S. We are all faced with challenges brought about by the recent changes. And there are more to come.
Luke 11:2-4 – Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins. For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”
Be blessed.
