Heavy Heart, Chaotic Thoughts

As we transition into the new presidency, my heart is heavy. My thoughts are all over the place. I understand that changes must come. I understand that God allowed the person He wanted to fulfill His purpose to be in charge. My empathetic nature is feeling for those who are caught in the middle.

Tragedies from natural disasters, law changes (some of which I question why), and major changes to family safety, hopes, and dreams are crashing down. I continue to lift all of us in prayer. Sometimes, it’s not what you do; it’s how you do it. I hope that there is a better way to handle the ICE situation for those who are not criminals. I question the U.S. citizenship birthright for those born here while their parents are not here illegally (visas).

I continue to pray because I do not understand everything or claim to know every detail about what’s going on. I know that the number of hurting people will jump exponentially. I pray for God’s wisdom and protection for those directly impacted by what’s going on.

I thought about what to pen today. I cannot begin to speak about everything happening. I didn’t want to write a book, though. I had to work out some things in my head before putting the pen to the paper. I am asking God for clarity for myself. It is not my intent to allow my emotions to overwhelm me. I share what I am processing. I would love to hear other thoughts on what’s going on. Please feel free to share your thoughts. No judgment. I would love to hear another perspective.

I do know that God is still in control despite how I feel. My emotions are just that, my emotions. I am respectful of those in authority. My heart is heavy for others right now.

Be blessed.
