Let’s Come Together in Prayer to Combat the Darkness and Rebuild

Hello, I want to encourage you this Wednesday! As I contemplated what to bring you today, my heart goes out to those in Los Angeles. The fires continue to ravage the area. I lived in Los Angeles, California, for fourteen years. I was more exposed to the earthquakes than the fires. The areas of devastation are quite familiar. There were fires before, but none like this.

I continue to pray for those going through this disaster. While fire is a natural disaster, I pray that anyone responsible for setting any of these fires is exposed. My heart is heavy right now. For humanity to be at a place where lives don’t matter, homes don’t matter, and safety doesn’t matter is discouraging.

However, my hope is still in the Lord.

1 Chronicles 7:14 – “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

I pray that the fires will be extinguished and the rebuilding process begins very soon. We must continue to pray for the workers and those on the front line. I thank God for the young people who have stepped up and come together to help in this dire situation. God is a god of restoration.

I also pray that those in charge of the finances for rebuilding are honest and caring. I pray for wisdom. This is not just about making money as a result of the disaster. Let us pray now for the right changes and the right heart for everyone. As believers, we can come together against the works of darkness.

Let us unite in spirit and prayer and come against the enemy. There are material needs, no doubt. But there are spiritual needs that must be met by believers, whether we live in Los Angeles or not. My hope right now is to see the hand of God move in restoration like never before. Please join me.

Be blessed.
