This year has been a year of transition. Reflecting on things I wanted to change a year ago brings me to the conclusion that consistency is key. I remember when I had a thought about changing things and what I wanted to change. I did write my goals down, rewrote them, redefined them, and rewrote them again.
One thing I wanted to do was be more consistent in my posting. I have been. I wanted to incorporate more specific reading into my daily activities. I am much better at that. It’s not perfect practice yet, but I’m working on it. Breaking down goals into daily habits took the focus off the big picture for the moment and put it on actually accomplishing the goals.
I started working on my daily habits. I did write my goals down, breaking down the details into daily steps to take. This morning’s reflection brought to light that it’s so much easier to focus on daily habits.
I enjoy my days more because I am more mindful of the present. I want to be more intentional in this for the upcoming year. It takes practice, one day at a time.
