What Keeps Me Grounded

Hello and happy Wednesday. Today’s Scripture is 1 Corinthians 2:9 – “But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’”

Thinking about how much God loves me moves me to hold on to my faith. I don’t need the answers to all my questions. Trusting that God wants the best for me—and sometimes that may be unpleasant—makes me glad I can trust Him. Knowing that God is sovereign and an all-powerful, all-knowing, present-everywhere God puts doubt to rest. The fact that Jesus died on the cross for me as the ultimate sacrifice for me to be restored to right relationship with God is amazing.

I wonder if some miss the magnitude of what Jesus did. Reading God’s word laid out what needs to be known. The more I feed my soul on God’s word, the easier it becomes to surrender daily. To be transparent, I will say that aging has helped to reinforce this position.

God’s word is an anchor for my soul.
