What is Your Definition of Love?

This post has more questions for you to ask yourself than what I think. Define love. Is it based on how you treat others or yourself? Is it based on God’s word or Webster’s dictionary? Is it just an emotion?

Hello. Today’s Scripture is 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. I was thinking about these two verses. What stands out is that I could not even begin to love God without the Holy Spirit. I love Him because He first loved me.

1 John 4:19 – “We love because he first loved us.” The Holy Bible: English Standard Version (Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles, 2016), 1 Jn 4:19.

What does love mean to you? Do you believe God loves you? Our beliefs determine our behavior. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

I speak on love because we love our kids, spouses, friends, hobbies, money, things. But what is your definition of love? What would you do for what or who you love?
