By default, you accept what comes your way when you don’t intentionally choose. I was reading Psalm 119:30-32 today. What stands out is that I get to choose.

Psalm 119:30-32 – “I have chosen the faithful way; I have placed Your ordinances before me. I cling to Your testimonies; O Lord, do not put me to shame! I shall run the way of Your commandments, for You will enlarge my heart.” NASB

The NLT says “for You expand my understanding.” I love these verses because God expands my understanding and I have experienced it.. This past year during the Master’s program, I prayed for understanding on more than one occasion. Sometimes I just couldn’t grasp it. I asked for understanding. I didn’t get everything I needed done without God’s help by the Holy Spirit. I believe when we give ourselves all the credit, we forget but for God’s grace.

God created each of us unique. He gave some extraordinary talents, some extraordinary intelligence, some extraordinary gifts, etc. Let’s give God the glory. I choose daily. How about you?
