Seeking God

D you seek God for Him or for you? This question rose up in me today as I pondered this Scripture. I will share my thoughts and feelings about seeking God and leave you to ponder your own. This subject is important to me because our eternal souls are at stake.

My pursuit in seeking God is for Him first and then for me. It wasn’t always like that. I carried around the fear of going to hell for a long time. I do believe that is a destination after death. You don’t have to.

Jesus has not returned yet. Let us seek God while He may be found. Through Jesus Christ and by His Holy Spirit, God has provided the way. Jesus came to seek and save those who are lost (Luke 19:10). Matthew (7:7) tells us to keep asking, seeking, and knocking. Keep seeking God. The Bible says He can be found.

We can be obsessed with what concerns us. What do you think concerns Jesus?

Be blessed,

Sandra R Vercellono
