Best Day and Worst Day

Minhaj Fatima is credited with the inspirational quote, “May I never forget on my best day, that I still need God as desperately as I need God on my worst day”.

Today I give thanks. Though early, I feel pretty good today. My “To-Do” list is well on the way. However, I don’t want to be misguided. Sometimes on our best day, we push God into the background. We forget the essence of His favor and grace.

Going through trials and tribulations makes it look like God has forgotten us. He might not even like us when it is severe. However, according to Psalm 34:38 – “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” NASB 1995

Our walk with God is not about having no pain. It is about God loving us through the pain. He said He would never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Jesus suffered much pain to be a sacrifice for us. We did not give our lives for Him, much less everybody else. Realizing that we are eternal creatures and God did not want us to lose the choice of eternal life is life-changing.

This world is temporary. What’s going on in the world is temporary. Our soul is eternal. We must prepare for eternity in the grace given by Him. This is only through the Lord Christ Jesus.

Be blessed.
