“Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 1:13 NKJV

The Bible is the revelation of God and His will to His creatures. There seems to be an insatiable desire of humanity to add more. How do you gird up the loins of your mind? Read the word. Renew your mind according to God’s word. This is according to what is written. (Romans 12:2)

Acceptance and contentment are important to girding up your mind. Accept God’s word. Be content with what the word says. Do not desire more to be added or anything else. God is the all-knowing and all-seeing one. His Holy Spirit is still the Spirit of truth.

The culture of the world is self and more. Enough is never enough. God’s word promises transformation. He is a keeper of His promises. The promises of God are yes and Amen. (Psalm 18:30) You cannot be transformed if you are not in His word.
