Choices

There is so much going on today regarding leadership in the church. Not to be critical or judgmental, we all need Jesus in such a way as never before. Our shepherds need prayer. The Scripture I would like to reference is John 21:16 from the NLT – “Jesus repeated the question: ‘Simon, son of John, do you love me?’ “Yes Lord,” Peter said, “you know I love you.” “Then take care of my sheep,” Jesus said.

True devotion is to Jesus, the Son of God. We can dance around it, ignore, deny, or accept it. However, truth is truth. This world is not all there is. It is needful for us to consider eternity. I venture to say that I will consider it now and make a choice. I cannot afford to consider it later and be unable to make a choice.

As I share my thoughts, I hope to be encouraging and that this matter provokes you to consider your choices while you can.

  1. Edward Ortiz – I'm a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel with over 24 years of leadership and management experience. I have a BS in Chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico – Mayagüez and an MA in Management and Leadership from Webster University. My hobbies are running, reading good books, and blogging. I’m married to my college sweet heart and have a wonderful son.

Good post. There is a lot going on with church leaders. Just this week, there were two from Texas, Dr. Tony Evans and Robert Morris. Difficult times indeed, and we just need to trust God and break alliances with earthly church leaders because they are not following what they are preaching.
