Going with the Flow

Flower-ProjectI wasn’t sure about posting today because when I got up I didn’t feel too great. However, today was my first day off in six. I decided I wasn’t going anywhere. Had an appointment that I changed. Going with the flow, you know.

Flower2At any rate, I pulled out my camera after reading some blog posts and commenting. I thought, “Just let me go out to the backyard and take pictures of whatever I see.” Did that. Ended up taking some of a football, tree, flowers as well as the skyline. Now, what to do with them? I love photography as well as writing. I have been hungry to do some major depth of field shots but don’t have the camera I want. I do have a Adobe CS 6 though. [Graphic design class software, part of the $65K.] Anyway, time to put it to use. Pulled up a site regarding depth of field and Photoshop. First one I pulled up worked splendidly. Who knew?

Flower3I still needed to go pay an urgent bill and went out for a while. Back at home, I pulled up the images I took and loaded them to the computer. After playing around with the depth of field, I added all the images above. I only added the depth of field to the first image. I did want to share because I see how natural the creativity came as I went with the flow of things today. As part of this journey, I know that everything is done to the glory of God. In going with the flow and not being too busy, I just wanted to relax today. Be led by what God wanted for me today.

The point here is this, after taking the images and really thinking about the flower, I am blessed because I know that God cares for me just like the flowers and the trees. God truly has stated His glory when we look around and understand the true beauty of nature. Nature just grows, we don’t have to help it along. We are not needed to bring spring forth, summer, winter or fall. We can just enjoy it all. Hope you enjoy the images!

  1. Nice job my friend for going with the flow. Our journey is a lot like that as we don’t know what we will face day to day but we must trust our Father who does. For he has ordained it just for us.

    1. I am such an A-type personality and that has proven to be one of my strengths. In that though, God has revealed Himself that He is still very much the one in control. That said, I was so blessed yesterday as I gave the day to Him.

  2. Synchronicity.. I’ve just posted a new blog about going with the flow and not fighting nature at the same time as you liked a previous post on my blog site….
Thanks for liking and following my blog I appreciate it..
