Today is the Day the Lord Has Made

Today Is

…Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Today’s reflection is about what’s going on and being grateful that I know who God is and that His plans and purpose for my life are in His hands. This week has had some disappointments, feeling sick and revising things. When disappointments come, we must get quiet and seek the Lord for clarity and/or peace. Sometimes He may not give us clarity right away and waiting is very difficult for us, as we all know. However, I will worship while I am waiting.

As I have been reading through Numbers, it is revealed that the anxiety and impatience of the Israelites caused dire consequences. I am reminded that trusting God is so important. He will give us what we need because He is Jehovah Jireh, our provider. And, while waiting can be so uncomfortable, it is comforting to know that no matter the circumstances, God has my back.

In renewing my mind, I discover that God gives me new ideas and a different perspective; one that includes gratitude and His grace to go through the difficulty. His mercy is never-ending and I have to say that He hasn’t left me. I haven’t left Him either. It is a daily journey.

Refining things is a part of the process. My commitment to writing for Him and sharing my journey through His Word is still the first priority. This blogging community has been so wonderful and reading the posts that hit the nail on the head reassures me that I am going in the right direction. I was a bit zealous in my desire to commit to a weekly book review. I have decided that the reviews will probably be once a month. Reading the community and commenting as well as reading a book takes time. In this refining process, it is necessary that I make sure time allocation is realistic. I decided also that every book I read may not get a review. The goal is to do a book review at least once a month as I desire to stay engaged with my blogging community.

So, today is about reading and writing. I also have a goal to schedule my posts so when I have the days that I pour out my heart, I can better manage what I would to accomplish and share the journey. All have a blessed day and remember to rejoice no matter what it looks like. Gratitude leads to joy!

  1. Susan Body Renovations – I’m excited about life, and want you to be too! Over the past few years I moved from the couch to a new six days a week, enjoy biking, hiking, swimming, lifestyle of spirituality, health and fitness. I workout music, reading and writing, trying new things, friends and family, and my relationship with my Creator. Work use to consume my life, now it is just part of my day. I have successfully gained a work/life balance and you should too!

I hope you are feeling better. Sending healing energy your way. I always love reading your blog. It’s is so rich with God’s word, he has put much love in your heart! Love and hugs:)

    1. I am feeling better and one thing I am learning through this journey is to feel it, file it and move on. Thanks so much for your support because I love reading what you post as well. Have a great weekend!

  2. Godsfruitful – Where do I begin?:) I recently retired and have never had quite so much time to figure out exactly what I should be doing. I became a Christian nine years ago, and for the first time in thirty years, I now have the opportunity to actually consider what it is that God would have me do to better serve Him:) I have always had a hunger for learning God's Word…I'm talking about a real excitement!!! I enjoy teaching Bible studies and working in Women's Ministry at my church. I'm excited to see where this website and blog will lead and am hopeful that it will touch lives for Christ. OH….and I tend to be wordy when I'm excited:)))
