What Do You Consider a True Standard of Living?

This post supports a passion for a lifestyle according to biblical standards. The Bible outlines a standard of living that protects each of us. Based on the chaos going on in the world today with man’s objective to do things his way, we are totally going around in circles. It is a given that the world is progressing. But, to what end? There is a need for us to get back to basics. That may sound boring to some. At this point in my life, I would rather be bored than going around in circles. Each person has the choice to choose how they want to live.

This post is purely subjective. Here are some questions for you to ponder. Do you believe that man is body, soul, and spirit? Do you believe that the spirit man needs to be fed spiritually as well as mentally and physically? Do you believe in eternal life? Do you believe that the earthly realm is all there is?


Jesus is the answer. He not only died for the sins of the world but left instructions to boot. How about that? The biblical standard is about each person taking accountability for what they choose to do. There was a saying heard a couple weeks ago, “People act on what they believe and not what they know.” What do you believe? What do you know?

What’s in a Name?

Some days have clouds...Say Your Name Say your name or “what’s in a name” for me. I was originally going to write a different post but saw this prompt and thought it would be interesting and fun to pursue. What’s in a name? A friend and I had a discussion last year about names and how many times they seem to really fit the person. My first and middle names are Sandra Ruth. While Sandra is not in the Bible, Ruth is there. Sandra is Greek and Ruth is Hebrew. I did add my middle name to this mix.
