Greetings! I hope the beginning of your week is going well.
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: GALATIANS 5:22-24
GALATIANS 5:22-24 – “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”
This Scripture passage always moves me to check myself. I did mention in yesterday’s post that having reverence for God reminds me to check myself regularly. It is necessary to evaluate what’s going on with me, particularly when it comes to relationships. It was more challenging when I was in my feelings or in my flesh. The more you practice change, the more sensitive you become when it is off kilter. I am so much better at that now, all glory to God. Reverence for the Creator compels one to want to change.
To clarify, when I was tired, I became irritable. God showed me that my emotions influenced how I treated the grandkids. I had little patience when they were being kids. This may not seem like a big deal. However, God was revealing my heart to me. It revealed self-centeredness and an indifference to the effect I had on them. Patience had to have its work in me. Yes, I am still Nana, and I still discipline when necessary. However, God checks us on how we do what’s right.
Self-control is another challenging aspect of this walk. Don’t get me wrong. We need it. It is worth the work to understand what is going on with you and check it. Anger is out of control for many in these times, resulting in violence, loss of life, and trauma to families that lasts for years. But be encouraged, because we have the blueprint for moving forward and honoring God in our lives. Everyone may not agree.
Ephesians 5:8-10 – “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord.”
However, each individual has free will. Where will your free will take you? God bless you, and be encouraged.

It takes time to work through our old ways and get them where they are supposed to be. Constant check-ups are so important so we can adjust and continue our walk.
Speaking of taking time to work through, I am working through WordPress right now. Lol…
I hear you. I try to do a little bit of WordPress every day throughout the week and take the weekends off.
I am actually working on scheduling so I take Sunday off myself.
