GLORIOUS IMPACT: Biblical encouragement & edification

Encouragement, edification, and empowerment from a biblical perspective for true transformation.

Today’s Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17-19 | 03/28/26

A quote from 2 Corinthians 5:17-20 NIV displayed over a blurred background of green leaves, discussing themes of new creation and reconciliation through Christ.

Greetings to you! I pray your weekend is going well so far. I am not sure about anywhere else, but here in Las Vegas, the warm weather has begun. Currently, around 3 pm, the temperature is 91 degrees. Is this going to be a really hot summer? I need to invest in a sun hat.

It’s the time of year that we celebrate the Resurrection of Christ. This means celebrating what Christ did for everyone, not only in His death, but also in His being raised from the dead. Romans 6:4 – “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” Being a new creation in Christ is transforming. Knowing that it’s not about things or accomplishments, but hope in this life as well as eternal life. Romans 5:10 – “For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!”

Reading the details about the Resurrection of Christ reinforces for me the value of what He has done. The humanity and deity of Christ in the death and resurrection clearly describes His love for us. Knowing that there is hope for tomorrow is truly refreshing. Revelation 21:4-5 – “‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” This world is temporary. Life in Christ is eternal.

I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to choose Christ. He chose me first though. And because He did, I have this incredible opportunity to use my free will. Growing in the grace and the knowledge of Christ isn’t always an easy thing. Confronting the sin nature and why Jesus died in the first place is sometimes very sobering. Romans 5:8 – “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” In the grand scheme of things, He is worthy to be praised!

Romans 11:36 – “For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.”

God bless you and be encouraged.
